DIY Anti-Aging Face Serum Hack (That I Swear By!)

If you’ve been on the hunt for a simple, natural anti-aging serum that actually works—this is the glow-up your skin has been waiting for. I’m not a skincare pro, just sharing what’s been a game-changer in my nighttime routine.

My Simple Serum Recipe

This is the exact formula I use as my go-to night serum and moisturizer. It’s deeply hydrating, packed with anti-inflammatory benefits, and customizable for your skin type:

Ingredients:

¾ oz jojoba oil (the main carrier oil – balances skin, doesn’t clog pores)

¼ oz castor oil (adds deep moisture and helps with skin texture)

5 drops frankincense essential oil (firms, reduces fine lines, soothes)

Optional: 5 drops rosehip seed oil (brightens skin, supports cell turnover)

How to Mix:

1. Use a 1 oz dropper bottle (glass preferred).

2. Add ¾ oz jojoba oil and ¼ oz castor oil.

3. Drop in 5 drops of frankincense essential oil.

4. Optional: Add 5 drops of rosehip seed oil for extra anti-aging power.

5. Shake well before each use.

How Often to Use

Start with once a week to see how your skin reacts. If your skin loves it, you can increase to 2–3 times a week or as needed. Dry skin types may want to use it more frequently, while oily skin types may want to use it sparingly.

A Note of Caution

I’m not a licensed skincare professional—just someone sharing what works for me. Everyone’s skin is different, so please patch test first and consult a dermatologist before starting any new skincare routine.

Why This Works (Science-Backed Benefits)

Anti-inflammatory properties: All the oils used help calm redness and irritation.

Moisture lock: Oils like castor and rosehip help seal in hydration.

Skin regeneration: Frankincense and rosehip are praised for supporting collagen production and healing damaged skin.
