If you’ve driven down Huron Street lately, you’ve probably noticed the bright, bold mural covering the train overpass near downtown Ann Arbor. That project was part of TreeTown Murals’ “Murals That Bridge” campaign, and now they’re back for round two. Last week, Ann Arbor City Council officially approved TreeTown Murals' proposal to paint the train overpass on North Main Street. The approval clears the way for the team to bring color and creativity to one of the most highly traveled gateways into the city. The North Main project is the next chapter in the “Murals That Bridge” campaign, a community art initiative aimed at transforming dull, industrial infrastructure into vibrant public art. Last summer, the team tackled the Huron Street overpass with striking visuals that sparked conversation—and a whole lot of Instagram posts. The Main Street mural will follow a similar process, with work expected to begin later this summer. No official start date has been set yet, but the TreeTown crew is gearing up to bring another splash of life to Ann Arbor’s concrete canvases.

We’ll keep you posted on the progress of the Main Street mural and any upcoming opportunities to volunteer or support the project. In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled—Ann Arbor’s getting more colorful by the day.
