Ann Arbor homeowners, don’t let this deadline sneak up on you—summer property taxes are due by Wednesday, July 31, 2025. Paying on time helps you avoid late penalties and interest, so it’s worth knocking it off your to-do list now.
If you're a low-income homeowner, there’s some relief available. Michigan law provides a poverty exemption that can reduce your property taxes. To be considered, you’ll need to submit a Poverty Exemption Application (PDF) by Friday, July 18, 2025—this gives city staff time to review it before the Board of Review meeting on July 22.
How to Pay Your Property Taxes
You’ve got options:
In person: Head to the City of Ann Arbor Customer Service Center on the first floor of Larcom City Hall (301 E. Huron St.), open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
By mail
By phone: Call 866.890.4982
Online: You can even sign up for text or email reminders (totally optional, but helpful)
Drop box: Located onsite at Larcom City Hall
Bank of Ann Arbor branches: Accepting full summer tax payments, but only through July
Just a reminder: City offices will be closed Friday, July 4 for Independence Day and reopen Monday, July 7.
